The Gucci Garden installation is featured in the Sydney Westfield store from 9th November
and will also be featured for a limited time in the Gold Coast Pacific Fair store from 7th December.
Gucci hosted a private event to celebrate the Gucci Garden installation at the Sydney Westfield store on the evening of November 9th. Transforming the exclusive in-store setup to showcase an imaginary universe of flora and fauna that are part of the House’s new design lexicon. Brand experiences as we know them have evolved extensively over the past few years to incorporate a level of multi-sensory stimuli. How one edits the richness of the recent Gucci collection to feature select key looks is truly a skill, too much tea [OTT] leaves audiences overwhelmed, while too little, risks of not capturing the essence. Reporting for our Art & Editorial team were Thi Nguyen & Tia Spanos who both recall the oversized motifs such as giant jewelled butterflies, birds, ladybirds, bumblebees, tigers, hydras and snakes proving a visual feast for the eyes and mind.
The following attended the event wearing Gucci including:- Jessica Mauboy, Lily Nova, Montana Cox, Bertie Blackman, Asta, Ginger & The Ghost, Demi Harman, Romy Frydman, Nadia Fairfax, Brooke Testoni, Yan Yan Chan, Nathan Jolliffe, Talisa Sutton & Ollie Henderson. Whilst a unique playlist was performed by Australian DJ Young Franco on the night of the event. Including the runway track where Gucci goddess and muse Florence Welch reads “Night” by William Blake.
The selected instore exhibit within Australia is part of a larger global launch in Japan, Ginza Boutique titled “Gucci 4 rooms”. Where the rich visual setting explores the house codes in an interactive way elevating the new digital experience. Visitors are encourage to move freely between the four virtual rooms created by four contemporary artists, the first three rooms involve catching hidden GucciGhosts to unlock the door to the final room, Secret room, revealing the biggest surprise of all. Gucci 4 Rooms in Ginza 7th floor, from 12th October – 27th November… Bloom on.

An exert from “Night by Willam Blake” as narrated by Florence Welch
The sun descending in the west,
The evening star does shine;
The birds are silent in their nest.
And I must seek for mine.
The moon, like a flower
In heaven’s high bower,
With silent delight
Sits and smiles on the night.
Farewell, green fields and happy grove,
Where flocks have took delight:
Where lambs have nibbled, silent move
The feet of angels bright;
Unseen they pour blessing
And joy without ceasing
On each bud and blossom,
And each sleeping bosom.
