Known as one of the industries best kept secrets, the fashion designer/artist who’s dressed famed supermodels Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington and even stars like Madonna in her avant-garde designs and worked along side famed fashion photographer Steven Meisel since her days as student at Parson’s New School of Design is now part of a first of its kind retrospective in the UK featuring an American designer at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London entitled, “The World of Anna Sui.”

Featuring over 100 looks from the designer’s archive, the show embodies the work of a designer with a propensity for creating garments that lifted the spirits and charmed her followers through wit and whimsey – ultimately characterizing a new era in fashion. It pays homage to her love for rock music and defines the perseverance and ingenuity of a woman who’s rightfully earned her place in an industry full of big named fashion houses that dominate the market leaving behind a comprehensive and historic collection of artistry.

On view until Oct. 1, 2017, it’s a show that rewrites fashion history with the designers “rock-n-roll romanticism, reinventing pop culture for every new generation.” For tickets and more information on the show or her accompanying book, please visit ftmlondon.org
